Since it was founded in 1987, EFER has played an active
role in promoting entrepreneurship across Europe by sharing best
practices, generating support for European entrepreneurship case
studies, conducting research on entrepreneurship, training faculty
across Europe and influencing policy through numerous presentations and
meetings.
EFER works closely with an extensive network of schools and professors
from across Europe and around the world, from technical universities to
business schools, bringing together the latest information on best
practices in entrepreneurship education. EFER also works with networks
of entrepreneurs and other practitioners.
Activities
- Conduct and support entrepreneurship training
programmes for European faculty
- Support exchange of faculty between countries
- Facilitate the sharing of good practice and networks
between faculty across Europe
- Build and strengthen faculty networks and
collaboration
- Support the development of European entrepreneurship
cases and course materials
- Encourage interaction between academics teaching
entrepreneurship and the “real world” entrepreneurs and practitioners
EFER Track Record of Success
- 456 professors from 183 institutions in 43 European countries have been trained in entrepreneurship at EFER's successful "Teach-the-Teachers" programme in Cambridge 2001, the HBS Harvard Business School EECPCL programme 2005-2008 and the EEC 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012
- 24 professors have
participated for cross border teaching and research through EFER
Bologna Faculty Exchange Programme since the programme started in the
fall 2007

Meetings have been successfully held in Aachen, Barcelona,
Frankfurt, Oslo, Ljubljana, Gent, St Petersburg and St Gallen
